Not touched a drop since New Years Eve.
Thought I would enjoy it, however it's fucking boring. What can I do that replaces the pleasure of a drink?
Coccaine and heroin excluded.

Not had a drink since 14th December. Feel good for it. Didnt really make a conciliatory decision to give up just makes me feel rough so don't have any desire to have a drink. Special occasions excepted of course

Shit loads of things to do without alcohol involved, i won't list any as everyones different.
The reliance of alcohol in people lives is the same as any other drug, fast food, cigarettes etc
I always hear the saying that you can't trust a person who doesn't drink alcohol.
I don't trust people that need a drink to get a personality, a boring repeating one at that.

I heard someone say that people who abstain every January, as a class, have more drinking problems than those that just drink as normal. I have an acquaintance who is dry through January but by the end of the first week in February he will, as usual, have caught up with me in total drinks consumed since the new year.

And the righteous doctors now warning it's a shock to the system I.e liver having a month off. You can't win, at the end of the day we will all die, you could drink, smoke, live of lettuce leaves and grape juice.. You die one day, I personally don't want to die in a care home, dribbling and shitting myself and waiting for some unsympathetic foreigner to,clean me up, punch and curse me after paying over £700 per week for the privilege. Live life to full, take lots of holidays and ffs don't just drink to have a personality.. Bad enough with the youngsters round here taking Charlie every weekend.. Nice kids one min.. Gobby, mouthy cunts come the weekend!
